I graduated with a Master’s from the University of Strathclyde, in Scotland, spending my fourth year at the University of Lausanne, in Switzerland, before returning to complete a PGDE in Physical Education at the University of Edinburgh. My first year as a teacher was spent in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, where I was given the opportunity to develop and run a PE department. The school had a significant number of students with special educational needs (SEN), and I worked alongside the school leaders to implement successful behaviour management strategies.

I later taught at an international school in Nepal, where I helped to develop the curriculum before teaching PE and English in remote village mountain schools in the Kathmandu Valley.

When I returned to the UK, I accepted the post of Head of PE at a school in Surrey. I taught in and ran the department, and also re-designed the PE curriculum to meet the needs of some very challenging pupils.

I am delighted and feel very privileged to be part of such a lovely and motivated team at THSL.
